Eco Group
Our school Eco Group is made up from class selected representatives from across the school. We aim to improve our school's environment and to develop the learning and teaching in our playground and surrounding areas. Last year an outdoor classroom was created in the school grounds and we are all looking forward to using it during the term. We meet regularly to discuss these issues and plan a variety of events to support our goals. Three years ago we were awarded the Green Flag, a recognition from Eco Schools Scotland to show the achievements we have made in making our school a more eco friendly place. Last year we organised some litter picks, recycling clothes, planting and maintaining an eco garden. We also focused on bio diversity in the eco garden. We will continue to organise termly textile recycling and litter picks. We have planted more trees anad hedges in our garden to encourage more wildlife to make their habitats there. We have lots of exciting plans for this year and we will keep you informed of them. We are always looking for donations of plants, seeds, pots and time to help us with these tasks. If you can spare any of these things, call us and let us know!
